Due to the sales success of the ’55 T-Bird, few changes were made to the car for 1956. The most significant change was moving the spare tire to a continental-style rear bumper, allowing more room in the trunk for storage. Flip-out side vents were added for better ventilation and porthole windows were added for better visibility.
