1940 Buick Special Convertible
The 1940 Buick Special was Buick’s last pre-WWII convertible. The model 46C was powered by a Dynaflash inline straight 8 with a single carburetor and a 3-sped column shift manual transmission.
It was one of the most sporting pre-war Buicks produced, and definitely one of the cars of the 1940s that we really like.
But I guess we’re not alone. It’s popularity lead to an amazing turnaround for a manufacturer that was rumored to be on the chopping block at GM.
