1946 Lincoln Continental
In 1946, the Lincoln Continental was in essence, a custom-built Zephyr (now renamed H-Series).
Both shared the same 125-inch wheelbase chassis, hydraulic brakes, and a 305 cubic inch V12 engine.
But the Continental was 3 inches lower, had 7 inches more hood, and sported a “continental” tire at the back.
And at a base price of $4400, it also was one of the most expensive domestic cars of the 1946 model year.
