1950 Muntz Jet
Here’s a short overview video and some really excellent pics of an awesome 1950 Muntz Jet we recently came across.
We’ve seen tons of awesome classic sports cars, but this Muntz Jet is one of the coolest we’ve run across. This one is the 2nd of only 198 built. To date, Muntz #1 has yet to be found.
We think you are going to enjoy this video and photo set, especially if you are a classic sports car enthusiast. Take a look and see if you agree with us.
I hope you liked the video and found the story behind this 1950 Muntz Jet interesting. Now check our a few of the photos we took of this classic car.
This vintage 1950 Muntz Jet, powered by a 331 cu in Chrysler FirePower V8 and modeled after the Kurtis Sports Car, features an aluminum body and removable hardtop.
Luxury touches included an all-leather “tuck-and-roll” interior, Stewart-Warner racing-style gauges, and a center console that included (What else?) a Muntz radio.
Other Muntz Jet features included body-on-chassis construction, independent front suspension and a live rear axle with leaf springs, power steering, hydraulic brakes all around, a dual coil ignition and dual exhausts.
Well, did you like the pics? I really hope so! This car (M-102) also appeared in a series of publicity photos with designer Frank Kurtis and 1957 Indy 500 winner Sam Hanks, who also contributed to the Muntz Jet’s redesign.
Hey there, it’s great to have you here on my website, OldCarNutz.com. My name is Greg, and I’m simply here to share a bunch of outstanding classic car photos and videos with you. That’s it! That’s all.
Okay, so here goes the big “but”…
Alright, to be perfectly honest, a confession is in order. My own selfish desires are the reason for this site coming to be. You see, I’m sort of addicted to classic cars (like the 1950 Muntz Jet pics you just saw), and a cool site on which I could share my favorites is really what I was after.
Of course, I do see this as something of an opportunity, as well. Why not just be honest, right?
I don’t see anything wrong with earning a little money from sponsorships and antique automobile product recommendations. I hope you don’t either.
As I’m sure you’ve gathered, I’m not one to pull punches. But please hear me loud and clear… I’m not here to sell anything. If anything from any of my sponsors interests you, that’s great! If you’re just not interested, then I won’t hold it against you. I just appreciate your readership.
The truth is, I’m very passionate about classic automobiles and sharing cool stuff with cool people… like you!
It’s for this reason that I created OldCarNutz.com. It’s simply a place for cool people to come together and check out some great vintage automobiles. It’d be great to see you here again if that sounds good.
So make this site one that you return to! I’ll be here sharing more outstanding classic cars with you. These photos and videos will include vintage cars, muscle cars, and hot rods… and lots more!
Please subscribe using the link below if you’d like to be updated about new videos and/or pics as they become available. I’ll never bombard you with promo emails. I’ll only send “new video or photo” notifications.
